Refrigerant Dynamic is a company that has been active exclusively in the field of Yachting for over 24 years. More specifically, it specializes in the field of air conditioning – refrigeration and for the last 15 years in the desalination of seawater.
As its name suggests, it has a dynamic and constantly upward trend in the market. Always together with my partner, Mr. Koutelos Nikolaos, we have as our vision to offer high efficiency, aesthetics and silent air conditioning on your boat but at the same time with the lowest electricity consumption. As we all know, air conditioning is also one of the biggest sources of power consumption on a yacht. Observing the recent increase in the price of fuel, it has become necessary to reduce energy consumption. In recent years, hybrid technology has been developed in all areas of activity. Therefore, on yachts, this growth helps to minimize the energy footprint.
Of course, even the most skeptical prospective buyer will now wonder how a Frigomar unit can consume less power than a conventional unit. The answer is that the unit starts at a low speed, just 20Hz, allowing very low starting torque and therefore power consumption, much lower than its nominal value, with only 2 Amps, in all its models. On the other hand, traditional air conditioners have 20 – 30 Amps, although they have added smooth starters. After a slow start, the compressor starts to increase its speed smoothly, reaching a maximum of 100Hz. In this way we achieve immediate cooling or heating in the space. As the room temperature approaches the value we have selected, the compressor slows down, thus maintaining a constant temperature. By adding thermal load to the space, the compressor increases its frequency, ie the turns, trying to cover the extra load. This way we avoid large temperature fluctuations in our space, thus offering a pleasant environment.
We conclude that this comfort is offered to us by Frigomar with BLDC technology. It would be an omission not to mention the very low noise levels of the compressor and fan, PMSM technology which makes the operation extremely silent in every change of speed.
In addition, all units are controlled by an extremely easy touch control. On the screen, in addition to the option of cooling – heating – temperature and fan speed, there is the eco indicator. With this option we further reduce the consumption of the unit by half, reducing the speed of the compressor and the fan.
All units are of VFD technology, which offers resistance to extreme conditions of sea temperature from 5ο C to 45ο C, making them unique in the competition. Such a unit can only be accompanied by a series of accessories even for the most demanding customers. Two of them are:
- the ability to operate and control the unit from our mobile phone through an application
- sterilization of UVA / C air from viruses and germs that have bothered us so much in the last two years.
